John Nassichuk

Business Development Manager

John Nassichuk's life has been anchored to the sea from his earliest days in Powell River, when his father, an avid fisherman, introduced John to the water by taking him fishing in the family boat, instilling a love for the ocean that has lasted a lifetime. Growing up, the world-class cruising grounds of Desolation Sound were his playground.

Before joining Sea Power, John’s early background was exclusively mechanical, starting with an apprenticeship in the automotive world, transitioning into heavy-duty vehicles, and eventually specializing in diesel engines, a skillset that naturally led him to marine work. His extensive experience with Detroit diesels in boats laid the groundwork for his eventual shift into management, where he has thrived by combining his technical experience with a knack for problem solving.

John enjoys the complexities of boat projects, in an industry where each vessel reflects its owner's personality and vision. His dedication to finding a path to completion, paired with an innate problem-solving ability, enhances the customer service experience at Sea Power, making every interaction with John both productive and reassuring.

Outside of work, John is just as committed to his family and community. An avid camper and outdoor enthusiast, he cherishes time spent with his grandchildren, exploring the natural beauty of our island home.
